Smooth setup, some minor quirks

I recently signed up for the Standard plan to manage my contact lists and automate welcome emails. The initial setup was quite intuitive; importing my contacts for the Contact Management section went smoothly, and I had my first Automated Welcome Emails drafted in about an hour. Delivery of the welcome sequence worked as expected. I also tried out the List Segmentation, which was pretty effective for targeting specific groups. My only minor gripe was navigating some of the Marketing Analytics reports, which felt a little less intuitive than the main email builder. It took a bit of digging to find the specific data I was looking for, but once I found it, the information was useful. Overall, a solid platform for what I needed.

Good value with the trial

I was looking for an email marketing solution and saw they had a 60-day free trial. I figured I'd try it out to see if it fit my budget and needs. The trial gave me plenty of time to explore the Email Marketing tools and decide if it was worth the money. So far, it seems like a solid choice for the price once the trial is over, especially considering the features I got to use without paying upfront.

Pretty straightforward to use

I needed to get some emails out for my small business and decided to try Constant Contact. Honestly, I'm not super techy, but the Email Marketing part was pretty easy to figure out. I used one of their Email Templates, popped in my info, and sent it off. It felt good to get that done without a huge headache. The whole process was pretty smooth, no real complaints there. It just worked.

Consistently reliable service

I've been using Constant Contact for my email campaigns for a couple of years now. This time, I upgraded my plan to include some of the Marketing Automation features. It was just as easy to set up as my previous experiences. The platform has always been reliable for sending emails, and I haven't really had any issues with deliverability. The support has also been consistent whenever I've had a quick question. I keep coming back because it's predictable and gets the job done without any surprises.

I'm trying to decide between Constant Contact and Mailchimp. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me which one is better for someone just starting out?

R Renee S. 2 months ago
It really depends on what you need. Constant Contact feels a bit more guided for beginners, I found Mailchimp a little overwhelming with all its options at first.

I used Mailchimp for a while but switched to CC. Mailchimp's free tier is nice but once you grow, CC's support and features felt more robust. Mailchimp's automations were a bit clunky for me.

Hey, thinking about trying Constant Contact for my small biz. Is the free trial actually free? Like, no credit card stuff up front?

F Faith Z. 2 months ago
Yeah, totally free. I signed up a couple months ago, didn't ask for card details for the 60-day one.

Can confirm, did the 30-day trial last year and it was legit. No sneaky charges.

Is there a way to integrate Constant Contact with my Shopify store? I need to sync customer lists and stuff like that.

S Shane 2 months ago
Pretty sure they have e-commerce integrations, so Shopify should be covered. Most of these big platforms do.

Yeah, it integrates with Shopify. It's one of their main selling points for online stores. Makes it way easier to do abandoned cart emails and stuff.

Thinking of getting a year subscription to Constant Contact. Do they usually have a good discount if you pay annually upfront?

S Shane 2 months ago
They almost always have a pretty decent discount for annual prepayments. I got 20% off when I signed up for 12 months.

Yeah, you usually get like 15-30% off for paying for a whole year. It's built in, doesn't need a separate code normally.

Does Constant Contact charge based on how many contacts you have? Or is it unlimited emails regardless of list size?

J Julia Vargas 2 months ago
From what I remember, yes, it's tied to your contact count. More contacts = higher tier plan.

T Tara 2 months ago
yep, definitely contact-based. it's kinda standard for these platforms actually. you pay more as your list grows.
